#20FactsAboutMe

This was trending on Twitter, so I thought, "Hey, let me blog it."
This is evidence that my mind doesn't really have much creativity. So, here we go

  1. My full name is Nesa Kelmendi. Just Nesa. Not short for Vanessa. Just. Nesa.
  2. My favourite colour is Red.
  3. I'm very open minded when it comes to the kind of music I listen to. But my favourite genre is Jazz/Blues, and my ultimate singer has to be Mariah Carey. I also love Nas.
  4. I've already reached my maximum height of 5'1
  5. I want to be a Geneticist when I'm older
  6. I had an addiction to Galaxy chocolate. Had. Not anymore..
  7. I'm in love with Barney Stinson, from How I Met Your Mother.
  8. I sometimes like to sit in the dark with the window and curtains open and listen to the rain. It's really therapeutic.
  9. I'm a Taurus, which means I'm incredibly stubborn
  10. My name is Professor Nesa on my Twitter and Skype, only because it rhymes with my name if said with an English accent.
  11. I'm spoilt. My dad spoils me too much.
  12. I fancy the pants off Derrick Rose who plays for Chicago Bulls
  13. My foot size has shrunk from a size 4 to a size 3, :(
  14. I'm obsessed with basketball, and support Miami Heat. I'm waiting for the day I get to meet LeBron James or Dwyane Wade
  15. I'm attracted to guys who smell good, mmm
  16. I have a phobia of belly buttons. I can't touch mine, or look at anyone else touch there's. I most definitely cannot look at a belly button with a piercing. Even the thought of it makes me shudder.
  17. I blush, like, all the time. It's uber-embarrassing.
  18. When I was in Reception, we as a class decided to plant a little beanstalk after reading the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. I began crying because I thought it would grow big and a giant would come down and kill us all
  19. I have a girl crush on Megan Fox
  20. I've met Rita Ora before she was famous. Here's a picture of her, which I hope she doesn't kill me for it:

maybe it's because i'm a londoner.

"Do you drink tea with the Queen?"
No, but I'd love to, she rocks.

In the past year or two we've had quite a few big occasions, most of which involved the Royal Family. For instance, the Royal Wedding which took place on the 29th April 2011, and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee which was celebrated on the weekend of June 2nd-5th.
Although I'm Albanian, I'm also a British Citizen, born and bred in London. And, if I'm honest, I actually love occasions like these. I love getting the patriotic feeling as I walk down the streets of London and see people's homes decorated with the Union Jack. Heading down to the more obvious places like Oxford Street and Camden, and seeing the flag hang above our heads. It really is a great feeling.

And what's more great? Being out and about during these events covered in the Union Jack. Like, ahem, me..
That was from when we went out for the floatilla on the River Thames. That day, it rained like there was no tomorrow. But, let's be honest, it won't be a true British day without some rain. Not some, but heaps! London was over-flowing with people who had come from all over the world to be a part of such an event. All we needed was a bit of The Beatles or Spice Girls and it would have been perfect.
Royal Family events have some smaller perks as well. This includes drooling over the siblings of the main attractions, i.e. Prince Harry for the ladies, and Pippa Middleton for the lads. But should they ever get together.. let's hope not.

What else is there? Oh yeah, the Olympics! The 2012 Summer Olympic games will take place between the 27th July to the 12th August. Unfortunately, I'm in Kosova as of the 26th July, and won't be in London for it, but I will definitely put aside time during these days to watch and support Great Britain (and Albania ) from a timezone an hour ahead.

However, part of me is grateful to not be in London, let alone UK, during the Olympics. I'm happy to be getting away from all the hustle and bustle of the millions of people that will be coming in from around the world. As quoted from BBC, "An influx of tourists is expected to use the tube during the games". 5.3m to be a bit more precise. As if I want to be a part of that. The last thing I want in the summer is to be crammed between sweaty people on the tube who have never used or even heard of deodorant. And I'm short as well. That instantly puts me in the 99% chance of having someone's armpit being shoved in my face, fml.
I also don't like the logo.

To conclude, drinking tea with the Queen is far better than eating pizza with Obama. Or something like that. Eating pizza with Obama would be pretty awesome though, I'd love to do that.
But hey, we have:
  • Black cabs
  • Red phone boxes
  • London Eye
  • Big Ben
  • Harry Potter
  • Doctor Who
  • Oliver Twist
  • Jaffa Cakes
  • Lord of the Rings
  • Marmite (ew)
  • The Sex Pistols
  • Football (not soccer)
  • Buckingham Palace
  • Harrods (the only one in the world)
  • Selfridges
  • Royal Albert Hall
  • Rita Ora lol (fellow Albanian)
And many others, but I can't be bothered to keep going.
So yeah, God Save The Queen!
P.S. 'Ello Guv'nor!

1st

So yeah, this is my first post.
I don't really know what to write, but I can provide a background of what's currently going on.
It's 2:41am in London, and I'm watching Game 3 of the NBA finals, Miami Heat vs Oklahoma City Thunders. Despite having school at half 12, I'm willing to stay awake for this game. LET'SGOHEAT
I'm 5'1 and a female, which, according to guys, automatically means I can't play and like basketball because I'm "too short, and a girl". wtf. shut up. That's the most ridiculous conclusion I've ever heard.

I tryyyyyyy to be optimistic, and take a more positive approach to things. I might as well; there's no point in having a negative and gloomy personality.
I'll hopefully get round to posting more upbeat things, to keep things interesting. But hey-ho, I gotta do what I gotta do :)

I don't really want to say too much, considering it's only my first post. So I'll come back tomorrow (later today) and post something else, a knock-knock joke or something (lame).

Here's me btw: www.facebook.com/nesahoola
